In thinking about the role of the court in policymaking, let’s look at the Supreme Court decision regarding The Affordable Care Act. What did the Supreme Court decide about tax subsidies? How did their decision specifically impact the American people?

Take a side and argue one of these two positions: (1) the Court should not have been involved and overstepped; or, (2) the Court was rightfully involved and stayed within its powers as a policy maker. (You can use your textbooks to help you to understand and explain the role of the courts in policymaking. Hone in on the advantages and dangers of the courts acting as a policymaker).
