powerpoint off of paper w script

For your Week 5 assignment, you will be taking the content of the paper that you prepared in Week 3 and turning it into a script and slides for a presentation. The presentation will ultimately take the form of a 5-6 minute informative speech presented in PowerPoint. Your presentation should include 6-10 slides that serve to highlight the content of your topic.

Your Presentation Timeline:

This week, you will develop your preliminary script and initial slides for the presentation and submit them for a grade.

Please change on current paper:

Page 2 – Abstract needs it own page (considering adding Key Words at end of abstract)

Page 3 – Table of contents needs it own page

You used only 1 short, direct quotation noted by using “quotation marks” (Author, Year). The instructions required 2.

Please review APA for paraphrase, long quote, and short quote here:

Page 5, it appears that you have a long quote vs a paraphrase but I’m unsure as you didn’t indent or use quotation marks. What are your thoughts and what are the author’s? It’s unclear. If a long quote (40 words or more) please indent.

For paraphrase remember:

Summary or paraphrase

If you are paraphrasing an idea from another work, you only have to make reference to the author and year of publication in your in-text reference, but APA guidelines encourage you to also provide the page number (although it is not required.)

According to Jones (1998), APA style is a difficult citation format for first-time learners.

APA style is a difficult citation format for first-time learners (Jones, 1998, p. 199).

Please start using quotations for all short quotes. Follow the summary or paraphrase APA style as appropriate. You lead with the author’s name and (Year), but then at the end of the assumed summary or paraphrase you don’t close with (Author, Year).

Page 8 – remember that research papers don’t reference personal opinion. Please remove reference to first person “I”. Your conclusion should highlight the main points of the 5 high quality sources vs opinion.
