Learning Activity #4: Spiritual Community Paper

  • Read the article titled Pure Intimacy.
  • Design a prototype for a spiritual community that will benefit both the counselor and counselee.
  • Write a 2-3 page paper that presents the prototype. Ensure that the prototype includes the elements below.

Even though the article is from a website that focuses on sexual purity, the principles nonetheless hold true for accountability in group settings. The use of both accountability partners as well as larger groups of five or more participants can be helpful for all involved. A spiritual community in a small or large group format can be designed from the ground up.

  • A hierarchy scheme that has a clear structure for authority, communication, and topic facilitation.
